Car and Driver Touts Volkswagen's CC as Best in Segment
"An attractive car and a welcome divergence for VW design," Autoblog, "The finest-looking automobile Volkswagen has ever created," Edmunds, "Climate dials are large, clear, and simple to operate," Consumer Guide.
With all of this praise, we're not surprised that when Car and Driver the put the Volkswagen CC to the test against others in its class, it came out on top. Achieving not only the fastest numbers out of the gate in speed and acceleration, but also the best fuel economy, the CC wowed Car and Driver editors immediately. The review raves that,
- "The CC's "bests" clogged the floodgates: best skidpad grip, best ergonomics, best fit and finish, best exterior styling, best interior styling, best handling, best transmission, best steering, best as-tested price, and best driver comfort. So enticing was the front-passenger seat that photographer Marc Urbano selected it for nearly every minute of our 900-mile Granot Loma odyssey"
When compared with the Buick Regal CXL Turbo and Acura TSX V6 the Volkswagen was the winner, hands down. One participant commented, "This is the only car that invited me to have fun." And isn't that, when it comes down to it, the one extra you want on a car that you just can't "order"?
