The return of the Beetle
The VW Beetle is an iconic vehicle. During its first generation, over 21.5 million Beetles were sold throughout its decades-long run,
including Bug, Kafer, Vocho, Coccinelle, Fusca and Maggiolino, depending on your language. Sixty years later, VW introduced the 2nd generation of the Beetle to the world, rekindling the magic and enthusiasm of its fans and Beetle Mania.
Now, VW has just shown the world the third generation of this all-time, best-selling car. This new reimagining captures all the spirit of the former models and matches it with the benefits of today’s technologies. What has been created stays true to the Beetle’s history and spirit.
Fans will find an all new design, fully updated safety and comfort features, better efficiency and performance in a very familiar shell. The 2012 is an automotive icon reinvented, and we can hardly wait to get one into our showrooms. We’ll have a long wait until the end of this year or the start of the next one until they are available for sale, so the video of its debut will just have to do until then.
