Holiday Cheer Comes Early This Year
It is not even Thanksgiving yet, but many retailers are already focusing on the big prize, Christmas.
Our beloved downtown Fort Lauderdale is no different, and we are thankful that they are waiting until after Thanksgiving to start the Christmas celebration, Christmas on Las Olas, Tuesday November 30th, 2010.
For over 40 years, south Florida has kicked off their holiday festivities on Fort Lauderdale's Las Olas Boulevard. The celebrated downtown main street hosts a decadent array of winter wonderland festivities for its 30,000 guests.
Guests are treated to winter delights rarely seen here in the sunshine state. As you stroll down the carol-filled streets, there is a 100% chance of snow from the rooftops and a guaranteed holiday ice skating rink at the end. Ice skating and snow showers not enough to satiate your winter wonderland musings? Make sure then, to climb the snow mountain and vista with Santa.
So, head home, channel your inner "Elf," after all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear, and mark your calendars for Christmas on Las Olas.
